Christopher George Latore Wallace was a really big star in the rap world...really. Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls, as he was known, weighed in at over 350 lbs yet his stature as a man was only outshadowed by his stature as a rapper. Allmusic even went so far as to call him the "Savior of East Coast Rap"...whatever that means.  Anyway being involved in Rap music almost always means being involved in gang activity and Biggie was no exception, he was even implicated in the fatal shooting of Tupac Shakur on a Las Vegas street on September 7th 1996.  On the evening of March 9th Biggie left the Peterson Automotive Museum on Wilshire Blvd, 50 yards later while stopped at a street light a black chevrolet impala pulled along side and the occupant fired four slugs into Biggies chest. Biggie was rushed to Cedar-Sinai Medical centre but to no avail, he was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m. In an era before ubiquitous cell phones and cameras there is an actual video of the event...well most of the event...and here it is.
