Death
On the evening of July 29th 1974 Cass was staying in flat #9 in 12 Curzon Place in Mayfair, London. Cass was performing at the Palladium in London to sold out shows and was enjoying a successful solo career. That evening she spoke with Michelle Phillips, a former member of the Mamas and Papas, who said Cass was "drinking champaign and crying". The next morning her secretary found her dead in the apartment., initially news reports placed the cause of death as choking on a ham sandwich , the autopsy later showed it was Fatty Myocardial Degeneration due to obesity (Heart Attack) that killed the star. Coincidently it would be the same apartment four years later that Keith Moon, drummer for The Who would die.Death Location
